Hair's the Story...

I'm someone who often has trouble leaving well enough alone. Case in point? My hair. This is what I've done over the past couple years.

I've worn it short and wavy; short and sleek; mid-length and kind of kicky; longer with lots of layers (and highlights! Yow).

Over the past 6 months alone I've gone red; cut some terrible bangs; had some better bangs cut; then went back to brunette.

And now I'm contemplating yet another change. As always seems to happen when a girl decides to get serious about growing out her hair...I kind of think I want to go shorter. Here are the two looks I'm inspired by.

Should I go for it? Which one? Or should I just knock it off already and leave my hair alone?

  1. I think Nicole Richie's look would be very nice on you. I also think side-swept bangs or no bangs are really good on you.

  2. I think you'd look great with the Mandy Moore cut. And I'm guilty of this as well; I just got my hair redone, too! I did blonde hightlights for the first time ever and I'm in luuuurve.

  3. I'm loving Mandy Moore's style there. I think you should go for it! It will be very seasonally appropriate, and change can be fun. =0) Of course, you know this! ;)

  4. Mandy Moore!

BTW, I love that you change it up so much. My hair always looks the same. I need to do something crazy.

  6. Honey, that is the beauty of hair, it grows, and you can change it. I went through a mid life crisis moment this last summer and had bright neon pink put in my hair, just for fun. And it was fun, for about a month, then I toned it back down to red. I am trying to grow my hair out for the first time in YEARS, I have had it short and then SUPER short. I say go for the Mandy Moore...love it.

  8. Totally Mandy Moore. Looks like you had something very similar (and adorable) in the top right pic.

PS - My word verification was "likey." That's a sure sign.

  9. I think either style would be cute on you! In fact, you look great in all your past styles! You just have such a pretty face that all options work well!
If I had to choose, I'd go for the Mandy cut.

  13. I really like Mandy Moore's style! The photo of you with the shag-type haircut (top group of photos, second down on the left) looks very similar to her 'do, and it looked awesome on you!

  14. Having had different haircuts throughout the years as well, I actually had a cut similar to Nicole's, however I have hair that is slightly wavy (easy to straighten though, but not keep straight all the time) and fine. My advice for her haircut, high maintence, I like having polished looking hair normally, BUT when I didn't feel like doing my hair the cut didn't look just right when "undone" ie. wearing it wavy or natural, the bangs always had to be done.

Mandy Moore's hair is more my style these days because of two things; I'm embracing the waves and feel comfortable wearing it more freely, but this cut is also very nice when blown out or straightened.

p.s. I really like the reddish auburn color!!!
