Everyday Bombshell

Do you have anything in your closet that you consistently forget how much you love? For me, that piece is this reversible skirt. I always feel so good in it; probably because of the ultra-flouncy hem. Nothing makes striding down the hallway at work more fun than a swishy, flouncy skirt.

The Outfit:
Ruffled bolero jacket - Lane Bryant
White crew neck tee - Gap
Reversible skirt- Lane Bryant
Bib necklace- Forever 21's accessories store...whatever it's called
Kitten heels- Payless

  1. I know I'm rehashing a tired old argument, but the whole "plus size" thing still makes me crazy. I don't see "plus size" when I look at you. I see a fabulous figure. By today's standards Sofia Loren and Marilyn Monroe would be considered plus size. I work at a gym so I'm around the body image issue daily. It's sad to see beautiful women starve and work themselves down to a stick. I always say, "Skinny looks the same on everyone, but a good figure is unique". Anyway, loving your blog and completely trying not to covet your pretty necklaces! LOL ~Serene

  2. I don't think it's a tired old argument, Serene. I love your saying: Skinny looks the same on everyone, but a good figure is unique. That's so great! I appreciate your comment (and your compliment - thanks!). I'm glad you're a Bombshell Beauty reader. :)

  3. Cute outfit! Looks amazing on you!
And Serene: Your words are SO true! Everyone has different body types, yet we are constantly being bombarded by images that we MUST be this tiny, tiny size! Congratulations on working out to maintain good health!

  4. I totally agree. Even thinner girls have figures that they try to hide, but truly everyone's figure is unique to them and they should be proud of it.

I love the skirt. So much! I've been trying to find a lace skirt that is reasonably priced. When did you get it?

  5. I bought the skirt about..18 months ago? I think. I'm trying to think of where I've seen a lace skirt lately. If I remember, I'll let you know! (This is going to bother me until I remember it....)

  6. LOL! I have looked everywhere and everything is TINY. Lane Bryant would have my size. I'm going to look in their clearance or they have an outlet close by and might have something similar there.
