Help me Choose!

Next week, I'll be a bridesmaid in the wedding of my good friend, Ann, and her fiance', Steven. Ann lives in a small town in southern Minnesota, and she's kind of the perpetual Homecoming Queen of the place. Therefore, the pressure is on to put my best foot forward and not show up to any of the wedding events looking like a hot mess.

This is where you come in: I've been playing around with makeup looks and, while I'm no makeup artist, have settled on two that I think I like the best. Leave a comment letting me know which look you favor. In the coming days, I'm going to ask you to help me pick an outfit to wear to the wedding rehearsal & dinner, and a hairstyle for the big day.

Yes, I know this is not my own wedding. Therefore, it doesn't really matter what I look like. But...the pictures are going to last a lifetime. That alone is my motivation for picking just the right look.

So, the relevant details you need to know in order to help me choose are:
* wedding is in the evening, at 6:00
* our dresses are floor length, strapless, black

Look #1: Silvery/Blue Smokey Eye with Bronzey Cheeks and Nude Lips

Look #2: Neutral Brown Eyes with Rosy Cheeks and Pink Lips

  1. I like the neutral eyes and pink lips better, although both looks are wonderful.

  2. I like look #2 best. Love the pink lips, very pretty.

  3. I like look A best; maybe just because the eyes make a bigger statement and I think that would carry the day for a black dress in the evening.

  4. I also like the neutral eyes, however, as I'm sure you already know, it's always better to add more makeup than you normally would if you want it to show up in photos. I like this idea though!

  5. I like look 2. However, like someone mentioned should wear more makeup than you think to have it show up right in pics. I think you could easily rock strong colored lips as well.

  6. They're both insanely awesome, but I think for the evening I prefer #1. I like the smoky eye for the evening, but as I said..both are awesome.

  7. I prefer look #1 for an evening wedding.

  8. Overall, I prefer look #2. It's so pretty! But for an evening wedding with a floor-length strapless black gown, I think #1 is better. I think evening formal calls for more dramatic makeup.

But you look lovely in both!

  9. I think #1 will be better for the photos.

  10. I think #2 overall (LOVE the rosy cheeks) but I think that the smoky #1 is best for an evening look--especially in a black dress.
